Slide & Small Print |
SLIDE AND SMALL PRINT COMPETITIONS :- Recur four times in the season. They cover photos, on slides from film and prints developed from film or digital cameras. The prints are smaller ones and not mounted on stiff card. The small print is a good competition for beginners to get feedback on the quality of their work and learn from others. Running totals are kept for each entrant to give overall winners in each section. Prints are scanned into our computer and projected on the big screen in the clubhouse on the night of the judging.
Small Print League Competitions.

A set of four competitions will be held in each session Small Prints, only three entries of any subject may be entered by a club member in each print competition.

All prints must be clearly labelled with your Club Membership Number and the Print Title on the back.

Prints must be unmounted and conform to the following sizes. Minimum Size 150 x 100mm (6x4ins) Maximum size 185 x 185mm (7.5 x 7.5ins)

No part of any entry may be entered again e.g. sandwiched or manipulated. No complete entry may be entered again in any subsequent monthly competition, however it may be entered in other club competitions, where those rules permit.

Fully Paid Up Members may miss a monthly competition and submit double entries in a later monthly competition.

Judging will be based on a points score of up to 20 for each entry.

Winners of first and second places in a major trophy (i.e.. Eleanor Milne, George McKenzie, Theme Competition, or the Open Print Competition) may not enter the small print competition. The 1st and 2nd prize winners of the Small Print Competition League will be excluded from future small print competitions.

A local judge or club member may judge the monthly small print competition.

A running total of scores will be kept and the winner with highest aggregate score at the end of the club year, will be presented with the trophy.

Certificates are awarded to the winners of the competition.

The winners of league positions of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd also gain points which are taken to account when adding all qualifying points for "George Esson Trophy for Photographer of The Year". 1st = 3pts, 2nd = 2 pts and 3rd = 1 point.

Club Slide League Competition.

In Slide League Competitions four entries per member are allowed. Only the top three slides will be counted in the total score.
