Slide of the Year Competition :-  Is a traditional club competition and is now combined with the new Urquhart Trophy for Creativity,  Slide Competition since the winners are selected from the same entry.  The winners of these competitions are awarded trophies. The Judge for this years competition is John Ashford from Nairn Camera Club        

The Urquhart Trophy for Creativity. :- This is a new competition and the winner will be awarded the Glass Trophy which has been presented to the club by Ian Urquhart, husband of Heather, an established member of Moray Camera Club.

1. Up to a maximum of three slides may be entered.

2. It is also important that the slide Title and your Club Membership number is clearly visible on the front of the slide mount.

3. Slides must have been entered in, met the rules of, and been judged in a Moray Camera Club competition during that competition year. Slides entered in any previous year or Slide of The Year Competition may not be entered.

4. The judge will be asked to select the top ten slides, and also the first, second and third places.

5. The top ten entries will be awarded points up to a maximum of 20.

6. Please refer to the General Rules to see how slides must be mounted for acceptance in this competition.

7. The new Urquhart Trophy for Creativity, will be made to the author who has used skill to produce the Best Creative Slide.

8. The winning positions of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd also gain points which are taken to account when adding all qualifying points for "George Esson Trophy for Photographer of The Year".  1st = 3pts, 2nd = 2 pts and 3rd = 1 point.

9. The Competition Secretary for slides is Bob Fraser.

The Competition was judged by Allan Gawthorpe of Mearns Camera Club.  Allan is also President of SPF.
